Newberg-Dundee Bypass Phase 2A
 We're still digging in!
If you're driving through the area, you may notice more activity this week on OR 18 and OR 219.
We're continuing excavation and building up the ground for future parts of the road, called embankment work. This takes a lot of dirt – and a lot of off-road dump trucks!
You'll see these large trucks crossing OR 18 to get this work done – make sure to slow down and give them some room.
What's happening now
This week, we're planning on shifting OR 219 traffic to the east and OR 18 traffic to the south. This work was supposed to happen last week, but the rainy weather caused a delay. We'll also set up more barrier along OR 18 and start barrier work on OR 219. These barriers help protect our crew while working close to traffic.
|
Next, we'll start work on:
- Widening OR 219 between S Springbrook Road and OR 18.
- The new westbound OR 18 on-ramp.
|

If you're driving through the work zone, you can expect:
- 35 mph speed limit on OR 219.
- Equipment moving in and around the area.
- Construction noise and delays.
Thank you for your patience while we keep this phase of the Newberg-Dundee Bypass project moving forward. Please slow down, stay alert and give our crews plenty of space.

Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
