Weather delays repaving work in the westbound lane on U.S. 26 between Gresham and Boring

When work resumes, watch for flaggers and plan for delays up to 20 minutes

May 13, 2025

GRESHAM – Due to weather, the dates for this paving are changing. Crews will not be working on this project today, Tuesday, May 13, as previous planned. Work will resume when the weather clears up, and then travelers should plan a little extra time if using U.S. 26 between Gresham and Boring this week. Crews are currently planning to begin the work tomorrow, Wednesday, May 14.

When work starts it will impact the westbound right lane between Haley Road and Palmquist Road. If you will be driving from Boring to Gresham during the paving, watch for flaggers and expect delays of up to 20 minutes to safely pass through the work zone.

If the rain continues, we will continue to reschedule the work, which is important to preserving the highway. Remember to check TripCheck before you hit the road anywhere you travel in Oregon.

Anytime you drive through a work zone, slow down and watch out for road crews, as well as slow or stopped traffic. We want you to get to your destination safely and for road crews to do their jobs safely, too.
