 Lakeview DMV will close May 22-23 for facility maintenance, reopen May 27 after Memorial Day

LAKEVIEW – The Oregon DMV Lakeview office, 855 South F St., will be closed May 22-23 for routine facility maintenance to better serve our customers. The office will reopen on May 27. All DMV offices are closed May 26 in observance of Memorial Day.
During the two-day closure, you can visit the Klamath Falls office at 1909 Austin St. from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. See if you can complete your transaction online at DMV2U, at a DMV Express kiosk, by phone or by mail.
When we reopen May 27, Lakeview DMV office hours will remain the same:
- 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
- 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Wednesday
- Closed midday daily from 12:30-2 p.m.
- Closed Saturday, Sunday
We recommend always checking the status of a DMV office before visiting.
With the arrival of the REAL ID enforcement date, we continue to see greater demand at many DMV offices. Expect longer lines and longer wait times than normal. It takes up to three weeks to receive your REAL ID card in the mail, so if you are planning on boarding a plane, make sure you have REAL ID-compliant identification in time for your trip. You only need a REAL ID if you are 18 and older and will travel in the U.S. by plane without a valid passport or other federally accepted identification. If you aren’t flying soon, consider waiting to get a REAL ID until it’s time to renew your credential.
