Expect delays May 13 for repaving westbound lane on U.S. 26 between Gresham and Boring

Watch for flaggers and plan for delays up to 20 minutes

May 9, 2025

GRESHAM – Plan a little extra time into your drive if you will use U.S. 26 between Gresham and Boring between Tuesday afternoon, May 13, and Wednesday morning, May 14 – weather permitting.

We will start work about 2 p.m. Tuesday on the westbound right lane between Haley Road and Palmquist Road. If you will be driving from Boring to Gresham during the paving, watch for flaggers and expect delays of up to 20 minutes to safely pass through the work zone.

Work will continue overnight, with the lane scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Wednesday, May 14.

If there is too much rain for paving, we will reschedule the work, which is important to preserving the highway. So remember to check TripCheck before you hit the road anywhere you travel in Oregon.

Anytime you drive through a work zone, slow down and watch out for road crews, as well as slow or stopped traffic. We want you to get to your destination safely and for road crews to do their jobs safely too.
