OR 47 Messing Creek Culvert Replacement

Don't forget and plan ahead – expect a full OR 47 road closure in Mist from June 16 through August 21! We're replacing the Messing Creek culvert with a new one to help improve road drainage and fish passage.

What to expect when the closure starts in June: OR 47 on either side of Messing Creek in Mist to close on June 16 through August 21. A signed detour around the closure using OR 47, Apiary Road and U.S. 30. Delays and construction noise.

If you're going through the area, in general you can expect:

• Crews working Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Occasional night work as needed.
• Lane and shoulder closures with flaggers helping direct traffic as needed.
• Construction noise and delays.

Pay attention in the work zone, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.  Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
