ASTORIA – The Oregon DMV Astoria office at 705 W. Marine Dr. is expanding our hours to better serve the community. Starting April 30, we will no longer be closed daily from 12:30 to 2 p.m. We are excited to open up during this prime time, which is a popular option for people needing to visit the DMV during the work week.
Effective April 30, Astoria DMV’s new operational hours will be:
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
- 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday.
You can also access more than 20 services online at DMV2U and renew vehicle registrations at Oregon DMV Express Kiosks. We recommend always checking the status of your DMV office before visiting.
REAL ID – Now Boarding, May 7, 2025
Starting May 7, 2025, the federal government will require every person 18 years and older to present a REAL ID or an acceptable alternative – like a government-issued passport, passport card or military ID – to board a commercial U.S. flight. Traffic at many DMV offices is extremely high right now. If you aren’t flying soon, consider waiting to get a REAL ID until it’s time to renew your credential or use a passport. If you are flying soon, note it takes up to three weeks to receive your REAL ID card in the mail, so make sure your identification is REAL ID-compliant in advance of your flight. Visit Oregon.gov/REALID to learn more.
