Expect lane closures April 7-11 on Sunset Highway between Sylvan and SW Jefferson

PORTLAND – Expect daytime right-lane closures on U.S. 26 between Sylvan and SW Jefferson Street during the week of April 7-11 for a safety corridor tree project.

Lane closure schedule:

  • Monday-Tuesday, April 7-8: Eastbound right lane from Sylvan to Jefferson, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
  • Wednesday-Friday, April 9-11: Westbound right lane from Jefferson to the zoo, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily or until finished.

The lane closures are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, but the time frame for lane closures depends on how quickly foresters complete their work.

If you will be using U.S. 26 on the west side of Portland the week of April 7, be prepared for delays and merging traffic. And please slow down and watch out for crews working close to traffic.
