Oregon Transportation Commission to meet Jan. 16 in Salem

SALEM — The Oregon Transportation Commission will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, Jan. 16, at 9 a.m. The meeting will originate from the Gail Achterman Conference Room of the Transportation Building, 355 Capitol Street NE, Salem.

Items on the agenda include:

  • Interstate Bridge Replacement Program Update: Receive an update on the Interstate Bridge Replacement Program, including details about the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement comment period. Commissioners will be asked to authorize the program as a tollway project and the facility as a tollway.
  • Statewide Transportation Improvement Program Amendments: Amend the 2024-2027 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program as previously directed at the Dec. 4, 2024, meeting to increase funding for the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project from $623,391,997 to $873,391,997. Amend the 2024-2027 STIP to cancel the Preliminary Engineering and Right of Way phases of the OR120: Columbia Slough Bridge project and reduce the total project funding from $17,676,998 to $676,998.
  • Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance Update: Receive an informational presentation related to the Tribal Employment Rights Office Memorandum of Understanding between ODOT and The Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon.
  • DMV Data Integrity Review and Oregon Motor Voter Update: Receive an update on DMV’s efforts to correct problems with its work registering customers to vote under the Oregon Motor Voter law.
  • 2025-2026 Safe Routes to School Construction Projects: Approve recommended projects for the Safe Routes to School 2025-2026 Competitive Construction Grant Program.

Please note participation will be limited to one representative per organization. Commenters (and organizations) who are providing public comment to the OTC for the first time will be given priority for the limited available testimony spots.
