Plan ahead: nighttime lane closures on I-5 in both directions Sunday and Monday nights |
Sunday, Jan. 12 and Monday, Jan. 13, expect nighttime lane closures for our I-5 widening project between Kuebler Boulevard and Delaney Road.
We're working on the shoulder and will also be moving some barriers on I-5. Barriers, such as cones and barrels, help clearly define a lane and keep our crews safer when working near moving traffic.
|
You can expect:
- Nighttime lane closures on north and southbound I-5 in the project area.
- Lane closures starting on northbound I-5 then moving to southbound I-5.
- Crews moving barriers – please slow down and use caution!
About the work we've been doing
We've shifted both directions of I-5 traffic while we widen southbound to three lanes, build two sound walls, remove and replace two bridges and pave both south and northbound lanes.
In general, you can expect:
- Crews working during the day and at night.
- Construction noise.
- Lane, shoulder and ramp closures as needed.

Don't keep this a secret – help us spread the word!
Check out what we're building in and around your community!
See what else is being constructed on the roads around your community by visiting our webpage. You can explore our interactive map to see what we're working on.
Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.

Access for pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will be available through or around work zones.
