South West Area Commission on Transportation meets online Friday morning

ROSEBURG – The South West Area Commission on Transportation (SWACT) will meet virtually from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Jan. 10. The meeting is open to the public and time will be set aside for public input.
A link to the meeting is provided on the agenda, which includes the following updates and topics:
- Election of SWACT Chair and Vice-Chair.
- E-Bikes/Micromobility presentation.
- ACT Work Plan Sub Committee.
- ODOT Budget.
- 2027-2030 STIP Scoping.
- ODOT Region 3 (Southwest Oregon) construction program.
- ODOT Region 3 Manager news.
SWACT consists of local community leaders and other interested parties in Coos, Curry and Douglas Counties. Meetings are held up to six times a year to discuss local transportation issues relating to planning, funding and operations of the state transportation system.
The group also provides input to the Oregon Transportation Commission on local priorities of statewide importance and on statewide policy issues.
