Construction Alert |
|
|
Construction starts on Dec. 9 Plan ahead!
|

No matter how you move through the area, we're making OR 47 in Forest Grove more more accessible by rebuilding or installing ADA curb ramps.
We plan to start at the OR 47 and SW Anderson Road intersection and work our way north.
You can expect:
- Construction noise and dust.
- Shoulder and lane closures.
- Delays.
- Flaggers helping direct traffic as needed.
- Crews mostly working during the day, Monday through Friday.
- Occasional night work as needed.
|

Why are curb ramps important?
ADA curb ramps make it easier for people to move between the sidewalk and road. This can be helpful for those who have trouble stepping up and down high curbs.
It's also helpful for people using wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, hand carts and bicycles. These ramps make it easier for everyone to get around, whether they have a disability or not.

Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.

Access for pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will be available through or around work zones.
