Oregon’s electric vehicle drivers will see 460 new public Level 2 EV charging ports in communities across the state by 2026 thanks to the second funding round from our Community Charging Rebates program.
The rebates program reimburses some of the project costs of buying and installing Level 2 EV charging stations at multifamily homes, workplaces and publicly accessible parking areas.
The program’s second funding round ran from March 5 to July 3 this year and had $2.5 million available. We reserved 70% of the funding for projects in rural and disadvantaged communities.

More information about the program
The Community Charging Rebates program offers rebates for Level 2 EV charging projects at multifamily homes, workplaces, and publicly accessible parking areas throughout Oregon. The rebates range from $3,500 - $6,250 per charging port or up to 75% of eligible project costs, whichever is less.
Eligible businesses, nonprofits, public entities, Tribes, EV service providers, and owners of multifamily home complexes may apply.
The Community Charging Rebates program is one of several ways we’re working with state partners to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transportation and address climate change in Oregon. Our data says that by 2050, we’re on track to reduce emissions by about 60%. Learn how we’ll get there on our transportation emissions website.
Time flies. Make sure you can, too: Get your REAL ID before May 7, 2025.
