Region 4 Weekly Construction Update
Here at ODOT, we are committed to providing a safe and efficient transportation system for everyone. We invest in Oregon's future through roadway improvement projects. The following projects are located within Region 4; Central Oregon from The Dalles to Klamath Falls on the east side of the Cascades.
There are two ways to learn about construction taking place for the upcoming week.
1. Visit TripCheck.com. Constantly updated with construction and crash data, TripCheck is the best way to learn about road conditions around the state. Click on a traffic cone symbol on the map to see construction impacts for that area.
2. Scroll down to the counties and highways listed below to see impacts that could affect you. Construction information is shown for one week, giving you the most up-to-date information.
All work is dependent on weather conditions, and schedules are subject to change.
DESCHUTES COUNTY
U.S. 97 and U.S. 20 Bend North Corridor
Travelers will encounter single lane closures on U.S. 97 from Empire to Grandview Sunday night through Friday night.
Work for the week includes:
- U.S. 20 from Cooley to Robal: Crews will be performing punch list work.
- Between Grandview Cooley and Empire: Crews will be working on sign installation, and punch list work.
- On the existing U.S. 97 Business Park: Flatwork, sign installation, electrical, and punch list work will continue.

U.S. 97: Lower Bridge Way - Northwest 10th Street (Terrebonne)
Crews will be working on the retaining walls on the east and west sides of the highway around Lower Bridge way. Expect minimal delays.
Smith Rock Way is closed until December 13th for sewer and canal work. Please use posted detour.

U.S. 97: All Roads Transportation Safety (ARTS) Intersection Upgrades Project (Redmond)
Crews will be installing signal components at the intersection of U.S. 97 and Glacier Avenue on Tuesday November 19th from 9p.m. to 7a.m. The work will be controlled using flaggers. Drivers should expect delays.

U.S. 20: 3rd Street - 15th Street (Greenwood, Bend) Project
Crews will be performing daytime single lane closures on U.S. 20 (Greenwood) between 4th Street and 12th Street Monday to Friday for sidewalk, signal, and paving operations.

U.S. 20 at Locust Street Roundabout
Crews will be performing tasks around the construction zone to finalize the closeout of this project. No highway delays are expected.

OR 126: Redmond - Powell Butte
Project is mostly complete with the exception of bridge work and in town paving. Work will resume in late February.

CLACKAMAS COUNTY
OR 35: U.S. 26 Overcrossing Bridge (Mt. Hood Highway)
Work on the project is completed for the season and there are no anticipated impacts to traffic. Work will resume in the Spring of 2025 with the installation of permanent striping.

U.S. 26 Meadow Lakes Drive – Combs Flat Road (Prineville)
Crews will be performing tasks around the construction zone to finalize the closeout of this project. No highway delays are expected.

GILLIAM COUNTY
OR 206: Rock Creek Bridge Project
Motorists should anticipate daytime single-lane closures controlled by portable traffic signals on OR 206 while crews are onsite installing drainage curbs and demobilizing.

OR 140 Brett Way Extension (South Klamath Falls Highway, MP 3.74 - 4.75)
No work expected this week.

U.S. 97: OR 58 - California Border Project (The Dalles - California Highway, MP 252.44 - MP 278.81)
Link River Bridge at MP 275.03: George Way is closed to thru traffic, please follow detour in place.

SHERMAN COUNTY
I-84: US197-The Dalles, Rufus & Arlington Bridges
Crews will be in Rufus performing permanent seeding associated with the construction of the Rufus crossover. Motorists should anticipate median shoulder closures on I-84 near milepost 109 in both eastbound and westbound directions on weekdays.
