Project Update |
|
|
Do you drive, ride, walk or roll along OR 223 and OR 99W?
You may have seen us in the area preparing to start construction on the ADA curb ramp project.
We're working on making OR 223 in Dallas and OR 99W in Rickreall more accessible no matter how you get around.
|

In Rickreall, we're planning to start November 11. In Dallas, we're planning to start November 22.
You can expect:
- Work happening Monday through Thursday mostly during the daytime.
- Occasional nighttime work and work on Fridays as needed to stay on schedule.
- Shoulder and lane closures with flaggers helping direct traffic as needed.
- Delays and construction noise.
- Businesses to remain open during construction.

Our schedule may change. Visit TripCheck.com for the most up to date information on traffic impacts.

Why are ADA curb ramps important?
ADA curb ramps make it easier for people to move between the sidewalk and road. This can be helpful for those who have trouble stepping up and down high curbs. It's also helpful for people using wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, hand carts and bicycles.
By making curb ramps gently slope to the road, it improves accessibility and makes it easier for everyone to get around, whether they have a disability or not.

See what else is being constructed on the roads around your community by visiting our webpage. You can explore our interactive map to see what we're working on!
Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
