Road Work Alert |

Use caution and slow down on I-5 between Kuebler Boulevard and Delaney Road |

Our crews have been working hard on the I-5 widening project between Kuebler Boulevard and Delaney Road. We've shifted both lanes of traffic and have recently been working on removing and replacing the I-5 South Commercial Street bridge.
To do this work safely, we have reduced the speed limit in the work zone to 55 mph. Please use caution and slow down. Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
|
Construction impacts:
You can expect:
- A single-lane connection from South Commercial Street to southbound I-5.
- Southbound I-5 traffic is shifted onto the former northbound lanes.
- Northbound I-5 traffic is using Exit 249 and the former I-5 on-ramp as the new northbound lanes.
- A concrete barrier between northbound I-5 traffic and cars coming from Delaney Road. Traffic coming from Delaney Road cannot access the Commercial Street ramp.
- Both directions of traffic will stay shifted for the next couple of years.
|
Curious how to commute through the area?
About the work we've been doing
We've shifted both directions of I-5 traffic while we widen southbound to three lanes, build two soundwalls, remove and replace two bridges and pave both south and northbound lanes.
In general, you can expect:
- Crews working during the day and at night.
- Construction noise.
- Lane, shoulder and ramp closures as needed.
