About the project
The I-5 corridor between Salem and Albany currently experiences unreliable travel times, congestion and delays caused by crashes.
We're removing older signs and replacing them with new variable message sign (VMS) boards and traffic congestion cameras. This will help provide real-time information on TripCheck
VMS boards are being installed at the following mileposts on I-5:
- Southbound milepost 262
- Southbound milepost 257
- Southbound milepost 254
- Northbound milepost 240
The installation for the traffic congestion cameras is not expected to have any impacts to the traveling public. They'll be installed on southbound I-5 milepost 249 and northbound I-5 mileposts 248 and 247.
