24-Hour Single Lane Closure Through September Has Begun |

Plan Ahead – Expect Long Delays
A 24-hour single lane closure on U.S. 26 at the Little Humbug Bridge started on Sept. 3.
Good news – we're about halfway done with building the new bridge! The 24-hour lane closure will continue until about 6 p.m. on Sept. 30 so we can build the second half of the bridge.
You can expect:
- A single lane open with flaggers helping direct traffic.
- Barriers to help define the traffic lane and protect the work zone.
- Long delays.
- Construction noise.
- The open lane to be 14-feet wide.
Vehicles wider than 12-feet need to avoid traveling through this area during the restricted days and hours or use alternate routes.

About the project
The Little Humbug Bridge is along U.S. 26 and is more than 60 years old. This is an important highway connecting the coast to the Portland metro area. The bridge foundation was in poor condition and is getting replaced.
We installed bridge supports earlier this year and are now removing and rebuilding the bridge one direction at a time.

Help us spread the word!

Check out what we're building in and around your community
See what else is being constructed on the roads around your community by visiting our webpage. You can explore our interactive map to see what we're working on!
Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
