Road Work Alert |
|
|
Single lane closures start soon, plan ahead!
|

We've been working on the I-5 paving project between Halsey and the Linn/Lane county line for several months.
Now that northbound I-5 paving is complete, our next step is to install rumble strips, reflective markers and guardrail. We'll also apply new permanent striping.
The reflective markers, guardrail and new striping will help clearly define the lanes. Rumble strips will alert the driver with sound and vibration when they leave their lane.
|
Starting Sunday night, you can expect:
- Crews working nightly, Sunday through Thursday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Single lane closures between 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
- Construction noise and delays.
- A reduced speed limit to 55 mph in the work zone.
- No lane changes allowed where there are double white lines.
- Most of our work in 2024 to be on northbound I-5 with southbound work starting in spring 2025.

Pretty, right?! A crew member captured this photo of a double rainbow from the work zone.

Do you use I-5 daily or weekly? Are you planning a trip on I-5?
Our crews are extra busy this year – we have several construction projects on this corridor!
Visit our I-5 construction webpage to learn about the work we're doing throughout the state and what impacts you can expect.

Check out what we're building in and around your community!
See what else is being constructed on the roads around your community by visiting our webpage. Explore our interactive map to see what we're working on.
Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
