Culvert work starts next week on OR 82 between La Grande and Minam

Crews working to replace a culvert.

A culvert repair and replacement project is scheduled to start Monday, September 16 on OR 82. The project will start just east of La Grande near milepost 4 and end just east of the junction with Merritt Lane near milepost 30.

You can expect:

  • Daytime traffic control while crews repair culverts on this stretch of highway causing minimal delays to traffic.

The culvert at Good Road, milepost 25, is scheduled for full replacement the week of Sept. 23. Because this is a full replacement, it will cause more traffic impacts than the others. Work on this one culvert could last up to one week.

  • Expect 24-hour flagging while the culvert is replaced.
  • Reduced speed limit.
  • Delays up to 20 minutes.
  • 16-foot travel lane

All work is expected to be completed by the end of October.

Our work is weather-dependent, and our schedule is subject to change.
