Full Closures and Width Restriction for the annual Portland Marathon

PORTLAND – Beginning Sunday, October 6, 2024 the following will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for the Portland Marathon:

  • I-5 northbound between MP 300.81 and MP 300.89 
  • OR43 southbound between MP 0.00 and MP 2.71
  • US26 eastbound between MP 0.32 and MP 1.32 (Ross Island Way)
  • OR99W/Naito Pkwy southbound between MP 1.31 and MP 1.43

In addition, OR99E northbound between MP 1.47 and MP 3.72, will be restricted to
18 feet 00 inches in width, for the runners to occupy a lane during the marathon.
(6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)

Detour

When this event is taking place a local detour will be in place for authorized vehicles only. Motor carriers will need to avoid traveling through this area during the restricted days/hours, or use authorized alternate routes.
