Plan ahead
A full 48-hour road closure is planned for August 20 at 7 a.m. through August 22 at 7 a.m.
You can expect:
- To detour around the full road closure, use OR 58 and U.S. 20.
- Vehicles over 35 feet long are not allowed on OR 242.

A smoother ride coming soon
Our crews have been working hard to repave a section of OR 126 that is in poor condition. This work will help preserve the road and give you a smoother ride.
We appreciated everyone's patience during our multiple half-day closures earlier this month and were pleased to announce that we completed that work three days ahead of schedule!
Now, our next phase of work requires a complete 48-hour road closure. Plan ahead and use an alternate route if you're traveling these days in August.
 Why do we need to close the road?
The 48-hour closure is necessary so we can fully replace the Lost Creek bridge deck and driving surface in the south portion of the project area.
The equipment we need to repave and replace the bridge surface takes up most of the lane and we need room for our crews to work safely. The new surface needs time to set before vehicles can safely drive on it.
