Reminder: Section of SW Baseline Street in Hillsboro closing Tuesday for railroad track construction

The around-the-clock closure will last through Aug. 12.

HILLSBORO – Southwest Baseline Street (OR 8) will be closed between South 1st Avenue & Dennis Avenue from Tuesday, Aug. 6 through Monday, Aug. 12 while Portland & Western Railroad replaces tracks on Southwest Adams Avenue.

This will be an around-the-clock closure for the duration. Southwest Walnut Street is the suggested detour route.

Traffic impacts include:

  • Construction dates are Aug. 6-12, the closure 24/7.
  • All work expected to be completed by Monday, Aug. 12.
  • Portland & Western Railroad is replacing their tracks on Adams Street in Hillsboro. The tracks run down the middle of the street.
  • Follow signed detour routes.
