ODOT Invites Public Comment on Draft Rules for new Small Business Development Program

The public is invited to review and provide feedback between August 1 and August 21 on the draft rules for ODOT’s new Small Business Development Program.

The Small Business Development Program was established in response to ORS 184.906. This innovative, race- and gender-neutral program identifies transportation construction projects that are suitable for qualified small businesses to undertake as prime contractors and provides support and resources for successful delivery. Through this program, we will increase the ability, capacity, experience, and number of construction contractors doing business with ODOT.

ODOT convened an Advisory Committee of small business owners and industry representatives on May 8th and 15th. Their insights informed the draft rules.

The draft rules are available for review on the Secretary of State site at https://records.sos.state.or.us/ORSOSWebDrawer/Recordhtml/10317361

To comment on the draft rules, please email Lauri Kunze, Rules Coordinator, at Lauri.G.Kunze@odot.oregon.gov.
