Oregon Transportation Commission to meet Aug. 1 in Florence

SALEM — The Oregon Transportation Commission will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, Au. 1, at 9 a.m. The meeting will originate from the Florence Events Center, 715 Quince Street, Florence.

Items on the agenda include:

  • 2025-2027 Agency Request budget: Approve ODOT’s Agency Request Budget for the 2025-2027 biennium, including revenue shortfall packages, policy option packages and proposed allocations from the Transportation Operating Fund.
  • Lane Area Commission on Transportation Update: Receive an update on the Lane ACT 2024-2025 work plan.
  • Project Delivery Improvement Updates: Receive an update on improvement efforts in ODOT’s Project Delivery Program.
  • 2024-2027 STIP Annual Amendment: Approve a list of added, modified or canceled projects to the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program.
  • I-5 Rose Quarter Funding Scenarios: Receive an informational update from the Urban Mobility Office on the potential funding and delivery package options for the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project.
  • Interstate Bridge Replacement Program Update: Receive an update on the Interstate Bridge Replacement Program, including details about recent events, program schedule, progress on environmental work and information on the I-5 Bridge Bi-State Tolling Subcommittee.

How to provide public comment

Submit written comment in advance of the meeting and sign up for public comment, either in person or virtual. Sign up to provide comments by completing the comment form on our website at www.oregon.gov/odot/Get-involved/Pages/OTC_Main.aspx. Please sign up by noon on Tuesday, July 30. 

Please note participation will be limited to one representative per organization. Commenters (and organizations) who are providing public comment to the OTC for the first time will be given priority for the limited available testimony spots.

To submit written comments electronically, please use the submission form on the OTC website by noon on Tuesday, July 30, to guarantee inclusion in the meeting packet. Comments not included in the meeting packet will be shared with commissioners after the meeting.

In conjunction with the commission meeting, on Wednesday, July 31, commissioners will join ODOT staff and others on a tour and site visit to several locations in the area. Lunch will be at 11:30 at the Florence maintenance yard. Site visits include the Siuslaw River Bridge, U.S. 101 South – Florence Revision project, U.S. 101 and 21st ADA improvements, U.S. 101 North growth impacts, 27th Street Safe Routes to School, airport improvements, and 9th Street /Rhododendron Active Transportation.

At 2 p.m. Commissioners will participate in a Workshop with ODOT staff. The workshop will be at the Florence Events Center.

There will be a no host dinner Wednesday evening at the Driftwood Shores Meeting Room at 6 p.m. with ODOT leadership and members of the OTC. There is no agenda for the dinner and no formal business will be discussed.
