Plan ahead for nighttime I-5 ramp closures

You've likely seen our crews working in the area on an I-5 paving project between Exit 216 and the Linn/Lane county line. We plan to close the northbound I-5 on-ramp from Diamond Hill Road 7/21 through 7/25, 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. You can detour around the closure by: Using the southbound I-5 Exit 209 on-ramp. Taking Exit 199. Turning left to circle back and take the northbound I-5 on-ramp.

You can also expect: 

• Crews working Sunday night through Thursday morning from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Single lane closures between 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
• Occasional Saturday night lane closures between 6 p.m. to 9 a.m.
• Construction noise and delays.
• Reduced speed limit of 55 mph in the work zone.
• An abrupt edge between lanes in the work zone – no lane changes allowed where there are double white lines. 
• Most work to be on northbound I-5 in 2024. 
• Southbound I-5 work to mostly happen in 2025.
