Plan ahead for ramp
closures next week at the
Aurora-Donald Interchange
|
If you've driven on I-5 recently, you've likely seen our crews working near Exit 278 to build the new Aurora-Donald interchange.
Right now, we're working on widening I-5 in this area to make room to shift traffic before we rebuild the overpass. To do this, we need to temporarily close some of the on and off-ramps.
Plan ahead for these upcoming ramp closures:

Other impacts you can expect:
- Crews working nightly, Sunday through Thursday with occasional weekend work.
- Up to two lanes closed nightly in either direction on I-5 from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.
- Other roads in the project area to have single lane closures as needed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Reduced speed to 55 mph in the work zone.
- Grooves in the pavement in the travel lanes and along the shoulder – use caution.
- Construction noise and delays.
