Road Work Alert |
|
|
Do you drive, ride, walk or roll along U.S. 101 in Lincoln City?
|

You may have seen us in the area preparing to start construction on the ADA curb ramp project.
We're working on making U.S. 101 in your community more accessible no matter how you get around.
|
|
We're planning to start at the south end of Lincoln Beach on the east side and will work north.
You can expect:
- Crews working Sunday night through Friday morning.
- Shoulder and lane closures.
- Flaggers helping direct traffic.
- Construction noise and delays.
- Businesses to remain open during construction.

Why are ADA curb ramps important?
ADA curb ramps make it easier for people to move between the sidewalk and road. This can be helpful for those who have trouble stepping up and down high curbs.
It's also helpful for people using wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, hand carts and bicycles. These ramps make it easier for everyone to get around, whether they have a disability or not.
Check out the corners we're looking at by visiting our interactive map.
|
Access for pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will be available and identified through or around work zones

Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
