Project Update |
|
|
|
We have begun work in downtown Pendleton to replace signal poles, upgrade traffic signals and make ADA improvements at the intersection of SW Dorion Avenue and SW First Street.

Traffic impacts:
Traffic impacts will be minimal the week of June 10 while the contractor sets up traffic control and work zones.
Once construction begins, we will keep impacts to a minimum. Motorists will be able to use SW Dorion Avenue, but SW First Street access will be limited near the intersection.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid congestion.
SW Dorion Avenue traffic can expect:
- Intermittent single-lane closures.
- Delays up to 20 minutes.
SW First Street traffic can expect:
- Intermittent closures for through traffic.
- Watch for signs and intermittent flaggers through the work zone.
Pedestrians and bicyclists can expect:
- Sidewalk closures and detours leading up to the intersection.
- Access for all pedestrians will be available through or around the work zone.
- Bicyclists will follow vehicle or pedestrian routes.
Businesses will remain open during construction.

 Project schedule:
Crews will be working Monday-Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of October 2024.
