Plan ahead for work on I-5
|
Work starts soon
You'll start to see activity as we prepare to repave a three mile section of northbound I-5 in Eugene between Exit 191 and the Franklin Boulevard on-ramp.
We plan to start work on June 30 and will work on the right-hand lane to grind off the existing pavement, repave and apply permanent striping.

When we start, you can expect:
- Crews working Sunday night through Friday morning, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Single lane and shoulder closures while crews are working.
- Construction noise and delays.
- Work to take about two weeks to complete.
- Ramp closures:
- Northbound I-5 off-ramp to 30th Avenue, Exit 189.
- Northbound I-5 on-ramp from Franklin Boulevard/McVay Highway.
- Northbound I-5 on and off-ramp at Glenwood Boulevard, Exit 191.
- Southbound I-5 on-ramp from Glenwood Boulevard.
