ODOT Big X intersection project kicking off summer 2024

MEDFORD — Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has a construction project beginning this summer on Oregon 99/Oregon 238/and Hwy 62. This project will replace the asphalt, update the ADA ramps, and improve the bicycle and pedestrian connections leading through the Big X intersection.
The Big X intersection is on Oregon 99 between Table Rock Road and Ohio Street, Oregon 238 west to North Ross Lane and Hwy 62 east to Biddle Road overpass. The work will extend the life of the roadways and bridges as well as improve the safety for bicyclists and pedestrians in the area.
The contract has been awarded to Knife River Materials (KRM). Construction is scheduled to begin summer 2024 through winter 2025. ODOT anticipates night construction with flaggers, lane closures and reduced lanes.
