 ODOT striping truck paints fog lines.
We are striping fog lines on highways in Grant County the week of May 20. Crews plan to paint the routes in the order listed below. We anticipate this work will take three to four days.

U.S. 26 (John Day Highway) – starting in Mt. Vernon (milepost 154.03) and traveling west to Dayville (milepost 131.28).

U.S. 395-B (Pendleton-John Day Highway) – starting in Mt. Vernon (milepost 120.51) and moving north to Fox Valley (milepost 100).

U.S. 26 (John Day Highway) – starting in Prairie City (milepost 175.65) and traveling east to Austin Junction (U.S. 26 milepost 190.53).

OR 7 (Whitney Highway) – starting at the junction of U.S. 26 at Austin Junction (OR 7 milepost zero) and traveling north to milepost 9.5.
This schedule is weather-dependent and subject to change.
For the week of May 20, you can expect:
- Pilot cars.
- Reduced speeds.
- Wet paint.
- Please give paint trucks plenty of room to avoid overspray of paint.
- If possible, use alternate routes or delay travel to avoid work zones.

About this work:
Fog lines, the white lines along road shoulders, guide drivers in poor visibility, like fog. Adding fog lines improves road visibility and safety.
