Work has begun on Morgan Lake Road in La Grande

To improve safety and visibility, we are widening the road, removing steep road banks, installing guardrail and improving drainage on Morgan Lake Road in La Grande. The contractor is working their way up the hill from Skyline Road to Marvin Road.

Traffic impacts

If you plan to drive on Morgan Lake Road through June, here's what you can expect:

  • Access for residents and Morgan Lake users will remain open during construction.
  • Flaggers will help direct traffic.
  • Delays up to 20 minutes.
  • Truck traffic, heavy equipment and workers on Morgan Lake and Glass Hill roads.
  • Crews will be working Monday-Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Schedule

Construction is scheduled to be complete mid-June 2024. We will finish the project by seeding areas disturbed during construction to help stabilize the soil.
