Construction Update
I-5 Exits 252 and 253 off-ramp closures start next week
Plan ahead –
Starting next week at Exit 252, we're making road repairs in the southbound direction on I-5. To do this work, expect off-ramp closures Sunday through Thursday night, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.:
Southbound I-5 off-ramp at Exit 252 onto Kuebler Boulevard.
The following week at Exit 252 and Exit 253, we plan to install reflective markers and finish installing rumble strips. To do this work, expect off-ramp closures Sunday through Thursday night, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.:
Southbound I-5 off-ramp at Exit 252 onto Kuebler Boulevard.
Northbound I-5 off-ramp at Exit 252 onto Kuebler Boulevard.
Northbound I-5 off-ramp at Exit 253 onto Mission Street/OR 22.
To detour around the closures, continue to the next exit and get back on I-5 in the opposite direction. The northbound closures can turn around at Exit 256 at Market Street and the southbound closures can turn around at Exit 248 at Delaney Road.
We'll only close one ramp at a time.
This work is weather dependent and our schedule may change, please visit TripCheck.com for the most up to date information on road closures and traffic impacts.
I-5 Paving: Santiam to Kuebler
This work is needed to complete the I-5 Santiam to Kuebler paving project we started last summer.
About the project
The pavement in this area was in poor condition, so we:
Removed and installed new pavement from milepost 253.7 to milepost 251.1 on the northbound lanes and from milepost 253.7 to milepost 250.1 on the southbound lanes.
Repaved portions of the Kuebler Boulevard ramps.
Repaired the rough road approaching the Turner Road and railroad overpasses on I-5.
Made ADA improvements at the northbound I-5 on- and off-ramps on Kuebler Boulevard.

Pay attention in work zones, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
