Important Announcements
Our training season is winding down with only a few more classes being offered. Our 2024-2025 training schedule will be announced in early September. If you need to renew your certification this construction season, you may register for a Challenge Event that is offered monthly at the ODOT Salem Materials Lab or request an exam be proctored in the ODOT Bend, La Grande or Roseburg region office. The ADA Curb Ramp Inspector/Contractor and Traffic Signal Inspector courses and exams are offered digitally on Workday Learning year-round.

The American Council of Engineering Companies of Oregon (ACEC) and the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) invite you to the 2024 ACEC|ODOT Partnering Conference. This 1-day event brings together employees of ODOT and consulting firms in order to share information, tools and network so we can improve how we do business together. 2024 ADA Curb Ramp Inspector and Contractor Initial Certification includes an online exam and in-person field exam to receive a 2-year certification.

2024 ADA Curb Ramp Inspector and Contractor RECERT includes training and online exam only to recertify for a 2-year certification. (To qualify for the recertification curriculum, you must be currently certified.)

2024 Traffic Signal Inspector Initial Certification includes training and online exam to receive a 3-year certification.

2024 Traffic Signal Inspector RECERT includes abridged training and online exam to recertify for a 3-year certification. (To qualify for the recertification curriculum, you must be currently certified or expired no more than 60 days.)

Challenge Exams
Monthly inspector certification challenge events will be offered at the ODOT Salem Materials Lab on the following dates: 4/18, 5/16, 6/20, 7/18 & 8/15. To register for a future challenge exam, please complete the ODOT Inspector Exam Registration Form. See the Inspector Certification web page for links to electronic study resource materials.

Transportation Curriculum Coordination (TC3)

Plan Reading Series (1 hour) - New to Construction? Go through the first module prior to an inspector training course. You can familiarize yourself with the basics of plan reading.
Math Module - If it has been a while since your last math class, this is useful as background for all of the certification courses.

Construction Materials Technician Training
Construction material technician training will be administered through our Industry Partners: Asphalt Pavement Association of Oregon, American Concrete Institute of Oregon and Oregon Concrete and Aggregate Producers Association.
