We're repaving in Rainier on this section of U.S. 30 to give you a smoother drive and help prevent more costly repairs in the future.

During construction you can expect:

• Single lane closures with pilot cars and flaggers helping direct traffic.
• Construction noise and delays.
• Nighttime work.

We're upgrading and installing about 63 new curb ramps in Rainier along U.S. 30 to improve accessibility for all.​

​​We're working on a project that will repair and pave U.S. 30 in Rainier between W 4th Street and Wonderly Road. ​

To do this we plan to:

• Remove and grind down the existing surface.
• Rebuild and install new pavement.
• Apply permanent striping and reflective markers.
• Upgrade the curb ramps on Veterans Way, 5th Street and 4th Street to current ADA standards.
• Install concrete barrier along the center of some sections of the road.
