Plan Ahead: Construction Continues on Beltline and I-105
|
We're continuing work in the Eugene area, making improvements to I-105 and Beltline. Learn more about what to can expect if you're traveling through the area.
Today's delays lead to a smoother, safer ride tomorrow.
We're wrapping up work on the OR 569: Green Hill Road - Coburg Road Project. Starting next week, we'll work on one direction of traffic at a time to:
- Finish the bridge work by removing the current driving surface, making repairs and installing a new protective surface to preserve the bridge for years to come.
- Work on the bridge rails.
- Finish ADA curb ramps and electrical cabinet work.
Eastbound Beltline
You can expect nightly:
- Right lane closures.
- Beltline on-ramp closures from Prairie Road.
- Off-ramp closures at Exit 7.
Plan ahead, crews are working between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Westbound Beltline
You can expect nightly:
- Right lane closures.
- Beltline on-ramp closures from NW Expressway.
- Off-ramp closures at Exit 7A.
Plan ahead, crews are working between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Next week crews are going to start work on the I-105 bridges over I-5.
We're alternating between the eastbound and westbound I-105 bridges to:
- Remove the current driving surface.
- Make repairs.
- Install a new protective surface to preserve the bridges for years to come.
Eastbound I-105 Bridge
While we work on the eastbound I-105 bridge over N Garden Way and I-5, you can expect:
- Crews working 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
- Single lane closure.
- I-5 Exit 194A closed nightly.
- Signed detours.

Westbound I-105 Bridge
While we work on the westbound I-105 bridge, you can expect:
- Crews working 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
- Single lane closure.
- I-5 Exit 194B closed nightly.
- I-105 Exit 4A closed nightly.
- Signed detours.

Help lessen the impacts and reduce delays by using a different route, carpooling or taking the bus.
Pay attention in the work zone, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
