Hello!

You’re invited to a valuable training opportunity that will provide an overview of why and how ODOT's civil rights programs apply to Certified Local Public Agencies

Want to know more?

This training will cover the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program and policy, goal setting, ad/bid/award procedures, preconstruction requirements, contract compliance (including goal monitoring and Commercially Useful Function (CUF) requirements), and Equal Employment Opportunity and On-the-Job Training (OJT) program requirements.

Who should attend this training?

Our target audience is broad and includes Certified LPA staff responsible for project management, consultant and/or construction contract administration, and civil rights-related documentation. This includes: Anyone involved in coordinating with the ODOT Office of Equity & Civil Rights on DBE and OJT goal setting, DBE goal evaluation, CUF reviews, and good-faith efforts evaluations; and anyone otherwise involved in monitoring and enforcing contractor compliance with the civil rights programs’ provisions included in your agency’s federally funded contracts. ODOT TPMs/LALs who support Certified LPA projects are also encouraged to attend one of the training sessions.

What are the attendance options?

We have two training sessions available to provide flexibility and various learning environments.

  • Virtual Training:         April 9, 9am-12pm
  • In-Person Training:   April 17, 1pm-4pm (Location: Salem, OR)
