Big Changes are Coming for the Hall Boulevard Overpass Over OR 217 in Tigard

Hall Boulevard overpass

Preparation work is underway before demolishing and then rebuilding the Hall Boulevard overpass in Tigard.

Earlier this week marked the start of a nine-month closure of the Hall Boulevard overpass over OR 217 in Tigard in order to demolish and then rebuild the overpass. When complete, the new overpass will accommodate wider footings to make room for the new auxiliary lanes and safety shoulders on the highway below, have wider sidewalks and bike lanes, be more earthquake resilient, and comply with Americans with Disabilities Act.

As this work kicks off, crews will also need to close OR 217 in both directions in Tigard for one night on March 9 and the weekend of March 15-18 to safely install a temporary pedestrian bridge and demolish the existing overpass. Visit www.hwy217.org for more details.
