Once you have a registered account, you can operate on permanent tax credentials and handle nearly all of your needs online. TOL makes things easy and saves you time and hassle!
How do you set up an Oregon Trucking Online account?
- Establish a motor carrier account with Commerce and Compliance Division.
2. Go to TOL to request a PIN.
3. Follow the instructions on the PIN Request Form.
4. An owner, partner, LLC member/manager, corporate officer or someone possessing a Power of Attorney must sign the PIN Request Form.
5. Fax or mail your PIN Request Form to Commerce and Compliance Division.
6. Upon approval, you will receive a confirmation email with a temporary PIN password.
7. Log in to TOL with your name, file number and temporary password and setup your permanent password.

We are happy to announce that effective March 1, 2024, the Motor Carrier Education (MCE) Program will launch.
The MCE is an eight-hour course that provides Oregon-based motor carriers with basic information required to ensure safe and compliant operations in Oregon. It covers registration, weight-mile tax, size and weight regulations and safety regulations administered by the Department.
Per ORS 825.402, Oregon-based motor carriers receiving a certificate or permit from the Department of Transportation for the first time must participate in the MCE within 90 days of receiving operating authority.
Established Oregon-based carriers may also be required to participate in the MCE, per ORS 825.402(3).
We will notify established carriers if your participation is required.
Though we administer the MCE, all trainings are provided by third-party agents. Third-party agents determine all training dates, times and locations, and they assess fees for their training services.
