DOUGLAS COUNTY
INTERSTATE 5 (Pacific Highway), Exit 125, Northbound off-ramp at Garden Valley Blvd. ($2.4 million), website
This project will improve safety and ease congestion at Exit 125 (Garden Valley) by adding a dedicated right-turn lane to the northbound off-ramp. The project will also replace the traffic signal poles and hardware, install new push-button pedestrian beacons, upgrade sidewalks and ADA curb ramps, and repave the off-ramp and intersection. All work is scheduled to be completed in June.
On Sunday night, Jan. 28, the northbound Exit 125 off-ramp will be closed between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. This will allow contractors to remove barrier on the ramp and install guardrail. A detour is available. During the ramp closure, I-5 motorists can continue north to Exit 127 (Edenbower) to turn around and reach Exit 125 from the southbound direction.
On Monday night, Jan. 29, the northbound Exit 125 off-ramp is scheduled to be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. to allow contractors to pave part of the ramp. This work is weather dependent and could be postponed until later in the week. Watch for detour signs.
At other times, construction is scheduled for 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday night to Friday morning. Watch for nighttime lane and shoulder closures on the northbound I-5 off-ramp, Garden Valley Blvd. and Mulholland Drive. Watch for construction workers and vehicles through the work zone.

Melrose Road traffic will use a bypass bridge at the South Umpqua River until 2024. Motorists should slow down and drive with caution due to curves at both ends of the bridge and a traffic signal at the east end.
Watch for construction vehicles entering and exiting the travel lanes.
Melrose Road is scheduled to remain closed at the South Umpqua River until Tuesday evening, Jan. 23, so contractors can place beams on the new Conn Ford Bridge. During the closure, traffic from the Melrose area will detour onto Old Melrose Road, Harvard Avenue, Stewart Parkway and Garden Valley Boulevard.
