Construction Training Program Updates and More
Welcome to the Construction Training and Certification winter newsletter. In this issue, we will provide you with important information, updates and resources that will help you plan for needed training and certification.

Important Announcements
The 2024 ADA Curb Ramp Inspector and Contractor initial certification and recertification training and exams are now live on Workday Learning. The Initial certification curriculum includes online training, online exam and practical field exam.
The recertification curriculum includes only the online training and online exam. For you to qualify for the recertification curriculum, you must be currently certified. If your certification has expired, you must go through the initial certification curriculum.
The 2024 Traffic Signal Inspector training and exam will be back online February 1, 2024.
Upcoming Events
The Statewide Resident Engineer Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, February 8 at the Chemeketa Eola Center in West Salem. This meeting is for ODOT Resident Engineers, Consultant Resident Engineers, Assistant Resident Engineers, Construction Specialists, Contract Administration, and FHWA representatives. Register here.
The AGC | ODOT Annual Meeting will take place on Friday, February 9 at the Salem Convention Center. This meeting is for ODOT Statewide Project Delivery Branch representatives, ODOT Resident Engineers, Consultant Resident Engineers, Assistant Resident Engineers, Senior Construction Coordinators, Senior Construction Specialists, Local Public Agency representatives, ODOT Transportation Project Managers, ODOT Office of Equity and Civil Rights, ODOT Construction Procurement Office, FHWA construction representatives, and the Construction Contractor/Subcontractor community.

The Oregon Asphalt Pavement Conference is the result of a partnership between APAO and the Oregon Department of Transportation, and a commitment to continuous improvement and education. Monthly inspector certification challenge events will be offered at the ODOT Salem Materials Lab on the following dates: 2/15, 3/14, 4/18. To register for a future challenge exam, please complete the ODOT Inspector Exam Registration Form. See the Inspector Certification web page for links to electronic study resource materials.

Transportation Curriculum Coordination (TC3)

Plan Reading Series (1 hour) - New to Construction? Go through the first module prior to an inspector training course. You can familiarize yourself with the basics of plan reading.
Math Module - If it has been a while since your last math class, this is useful as background for all of the certification courses.

Construction Materials Technician Training
Construction material technician training will be administered through our Industry Partners: Asphalt Pavement Association of Oregon, American Concrete Institute of Oregon and Oregon Concrete and Aggregate Producers Association.
