Seaside celebrates improvements to U.S. 101
Members of our Region 2 team joined representatives from the city of Seaside and contractors to celebrate completion of a nearly two-decade effort to improve U.S. 101 through the city with a ribbon-cutting Sept. 25. We finished construction in mid-September, over a month ahead of the estimated completion date, and under budget, at $10.2 million vs. the estimated $11.7 million. Employees give students a glimpse at potential career paths during expo
ODOT employees from around the state participated in this year’s Southern Oregon Trade Careers Expo. The goal of the event, which takes place every other year, is to introduce students and other job-seekers to living wage careers in the trades. “This is more than a job fair,” said Darrin Neavoll, Region 3 manager. “We are showing kids that they don’t necessarily have to go to college to get a great job with opportunities to advance.” Read more on the News Hub.
