 Southbound I-205 will be reduced to one lane and the southbound OR 99E loop on-ramp and southbound I-205 off-ramp to OR 43 (Exit 8) will close for approximately 15 hours over one weekend in early November. This work allows crews to pour concrete for the new bridge supports.

Ongoing Traffic Impacts

OR 43 northbound single lane closure with trucks leaving and entering the highway.

Clackamette Drive single lane closure with temporary signal and flagger.

Local roads will experience lane closures and traffic restrictions during construction.
River Impacts

The Willamette River remains accessible during Abernethy Bridge construction; the Sportcraft Boat Ramp is open.

'No wake' zones are in place until 2024 through the bridge construction area on the Willamette River.

River users will notice several large barges anchored in the river and are required to stay 200 feet away from them. River users are urged to use extreme caution, and all boats must travel between the green and red buoys.
Bike and Pedestrian Impacts

The pedestrian stairway from Willamette Drive to Territorial Drive in West Linn closed through 2023. Use approximately one half-mile signed detour via Mill Street.

Bike and pedestrian routes through construction zones are in place. People walking and riding a bike need to use caution when traveling through the project area. Follow signs and stay alert.
