Construction Alert
U.S. 30: Columbia to 8th Street
Lane Closures
We're resealing the pavement on U.S. 30 from Columbia Avenue to 8th Street tonight. Plan ahead – we're closing lanes of U.S. 30, only one lane of traffic in each direction will remain open.
Expect:
Two center lanes of U.S. 30 and the median closes tonight, 9/13, at 6 p.m.
We plan to reopen the lanes tomorrow as soon as the sealant is dry. We expect the earliest it will open is at 3 p.m. tomorrow, 9/14.
The outside lanes will stay open, maintaining one lane of traffic in each direction.
Drive carefully through the work zone. Be sure to stay in your lane and follow the traffic cones – driving over wet sealant could be difficult to get off of your vehicle!
Remember, today’s delays lead to a smoother, safer ride tomorrow. Visit TripCheck.com for the most up to date information on traffic impacts.
Pay attention in the work zone, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
We're making this section of U.S. 30 safer and more accessible by adding a center turn lane, bicycle lanes and upgrading pedestrian crossings.
As part of this work, we're resealing and applying permanent striping to all lanes in the project area. We're also installing two median islands, signs and bike detection equipment.
