Plan Ahead – We're Resealing and Striping U.S. 30 in Astoria
Oregon Department of Transportation sent this bulletin at 09/06/2023 12:04 PM PDT
Construction Alert
U.S. 30: Columbia to 8th Street
We're making this section of U.S. 30 safer and more accessible by adding a center turn lane, bicycle lanes and upgrading pedestrian crossings.
As part of this work, we're resealing and applying permanent striping to all lanes in the project area. We're also installing two median islands, signs and bike detection equipment.
Starting Sept. 6, you can expect:
Single lane closures in both directions, Sunday night through Friday morning between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Crews working during the night.
Construction noise and delays.
Remember, today’s delays lead to a smoother, safer ride tomorrow. Visit TripCheck.com for the most up to date information on traffic impacts.
Pay attention in the work zone, slow down and move over – image this is where you work! Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.
Remember that fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
