The Oregon Department of Transportation's Eastern Oregon Region 5 is charged with the safe and effective construction, operation, and maintenance of U.S. and state highways. Region 5 serves the eastern Oregon counties of Morrow, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, Baker, Grant, Harney and Malheur.

The following is a summary of projects in Eastern Oregon for 2023.

All work is dependent on weather conditions, and schedules are subject to change.

Expect heavier traffic during the Labor Day weekend as the summer travel season winds down. Some projects will have active work zones on Friday, so please stay alert and slow down when you see construction signs and orange cones. Please watch for crews, equipment and flaggers.
