We are looking for solution to longer-than-expected delays in OR 126 repaving work

We apologize for the long delays as you travel through the work zone from Leaburg to Vida

June 22, 2023

As we began our repaving project on OR 126, travelers are experiencing longer wait times than expected. The section between Leaburg and Vida is a particularly long work zone because it includes repaving the approaches to three bridges.

We apologize for the long delays. Next week we’re starting paving on eastbound lanes from Leaburg to Vida. We are reviewing how to improve traffic flow through the work zone with the contractor.

Our goal is to keep wait time for flagging through work zones at 20 minutes or below. The safety of travelers and road crews is our top priority. We ask for your patience as you travel through the area.

This project is scheduled for work from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and 9 a.m. to noon Fridays. However, there will be no work in this area Friday, June 23. No work is anticipated the week of July 4.

This work is important to improve the smoothness of the pavement and to extend its lifespan. We expect to complete it by the end of this year.
