ODOT, in partnership with the City of Molalla, is improving safety at the intersection of Oregon 213 and Toliver Road in Molalla by constructing a roundabout.
Pre-construction work continues with nighttime lane closures in Molalla
Expect nighttime lane closures for utility work on OR 213 starting at 7 p.m.
NW Natural and communication provider Astound continue utility work at the intersection of OR 213 and Toliver Road. Once Astound's work is complete, PGE will remove the old power poles.
Travelers can expect nighttime lane closures on OR 213 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. with flaggers directing traffic Sunday through Thursday nights.
We do not anticipate lane closures on Toliver Road the week of June 5.
The contractor for the roundabout will start preparing the area for construction next week. Starting as soon as June 12, plan for periodic lane closures on Toliver Road.
Save the date: Roundabout construction with an intersection full closure
Eight-week intersection closure at OR 213 and Toliver Road July 6-Aug. 31
Constructing the roundabout requires widening the intersection at Toliver Road and replacing an existing culvert carrying Bear Creek under Oregon 213. The entire intersection will be excavated at one time, which will leave a hole in the roadway during construction. Because of this, all users will need to detour.
Local access to homes and businesses will be open up to the work zone during the intersection closure, but no traffic will be permitted through the intersection.
