Sunday night, May 21, at 7 p.m. we'll start work in the median lane to install low profile concrete traffic separators at the Independence Highway intersection. We estimate the work to be done at this intersection by Wednesday morning, May 24. Immediately after, we'll move to installing the separator at the Granger Avenue intersection for one week.

While forming the traffic separators, we'll restrict left turns on and off the highway at the intersection we're working on. While the left turns are not allowed, signed detours will direct traffic to use Pettibone Road and Springhill Road. The turn restrictions apply to all traffic, including bicyclists.

We estimate completing Phase 1 of the corridor work this summer, from about Garland Nursery to Independence Highway.
