Pavement Patching work planned on OR 207 May 22

Oregon Department of Transportation maintenance forces will perform pavement patching along OR 207 / SW 11 Street in Hermiston between Highland Avenue and the northeast corner of the Chateaubri mobile home community. The road repair work is scheduled to begin May 22 and take about a day to complete.

The work will start at the south side of the intersection of W. Highland Avenue and SW 11 Street and extend south for about 650 feet. Sections of both the northbound and southbound lanes will receive the pavement repairs. The work is necessary to help extend the useful life of the existing pavement, which is cracked and showing signs of deterioration.

The intersection will be controlled by flaggers and the traffic signal will be turned off during the operation. The southbound lane will be closed for a short time to allow the asphalt patches to cool before opening it to traffic. Drivers can expect delays up to 20 minutes during the operation. Please use alternate routes and plan extra time for expected delays.
